Realizing late in life that there are many great women in the world m4w Hi,
I'm a MWM who has, in the last handful of months, come to realize that it's possible and amazing to have female friends. This is a big challenge for me on various levels, not the least of which being that I'm married to an otherwise wonderful girl who doesn't feel the same way. I want to explore this and the only safe way that comes to mind is this forum at CL.

It's far more real for others and too abstract a notion for me to be afraid of it. But even day to day fear can be paralyzing and make some avoid life. at work today said how she is of mice. MICE? Someone like that isn't going scuba diving, sailing into the beyond anything the least bit risky. You, BR, have to have looked at death in a much more real way than I. I have lead a lucky, safe life.

And I was apprehensive about seeing the movie, because I loved them so much. But although there were some things that were different, I thought they did a good job on the movie and was pleasantly surprised. They handled a lot of the problems presented in adaptations really well, like how to tell Peta and Katnis's story or how to handle the violent aspects of the games. It's over a two hour movie and I never looked at my watch once, which is a good sign. Sutherland is good casting for the president. They fit a lot of the plot into the movie. The girl who plays Katnis did a decent job. The boys could have done a bit better. And the style in which they shot it was interesting. Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but after being dissappointed by book to movie adaptations, I'd say that this one is actually worth seeing.

Now that I reread my answers and found ALL THOSE TYPOS I'd say I'm clumsier when typing than when doing something more physical I do know how to spell most of the time, the typing and proofreading leave quite a bit to be desired though. Sheesh.

Look what has happened to rights in just the last 40 years. marriage, straight alliances in high schools and highs, tv shows with openly characters (including youth), anti-discrimination laws, and a substantial increase in acceptance of gays in everyday society. Much of that was just a dream as recently as the s. Hell, I know a 12-year-old kid who has come out as and his family loves and accepts him for who he is. They welcome his boyfriend and his family as part of their own. So, it's not quite as doom-and-gloom as you make it out to be. There's alot more progress to be made, but it is happening and much faster than you think.
