Sorry it's a bit My boyfriend(23) and I(21) have been together for about 2 years now and live together. In the beginning everything was perfect we talked, cuddled, did things all the time, and intimacy was plentiful. But about 5 months ago I allowed a friend of mine to move in as a roommate and they had an affair for about 3 weeks. It was a messy situation and ended in me feeling completely ruined and destroyed inside. Now we don't cuddle, hold hands, talk much without him getting agitated, or much besides living, our intimacy has been turned into MAYBE 2 a month if I am lucky. We never really cared about privacy on our phones or in the past, I used to read messages to him and reply what he said while he drove. But now if I so much as look at him while he is sending or receiving a message he looses it. Recently his ex has moved back to town and I think their relationship has become COMPLETELY inappropriate. They talk everyday texting, and sometimes ing. She has a boyfriend but that doesn't mean much to her she is a cheater and would not hesitate. I have talked to him about it and he says I cant control him or tell him who he is or is not allowed to out with but I think after the history we have that I am entitled to a little jealousy in this department. He says nothing EVER happen because he thinks she is gross but he has said that before I sometimes get a glimps of his as he leaves it logged in on the comp. I know they are always planning to out just the two of them. We are moving and the new house is on the way home for him and he has invited her with him after work. I also saw tonight that he said once I start my new job he be going on disability from work and they can out during the day while I'm not around. I ask him if he talks to her and he says no mostly. He KNOWS I don't like it and want him to stop, his family have all told him he needs to stop, and after they talk to him he does for a day or two. But he always goes back and it hurts so bad. I am worrying that something happen again but I don't want to bring it up and start a fight, I just want my sweet caring back in my arms where he belongs. Honestly I am crying about this and I just need some help and advice.

such a hard thing to articulate. It isn't necessarily familial, but there is a guardianship implied, a protectiveness. Not that other dynamics don't have that but to me personally, "Daddy" is the ultimate authority, but that authority, while stern, is not necessarily *harsh* in the way that other dynamics can be. There is less emphasis on objectification and more emphasis on say, protecting and guiding and teaching. Oh and there is the whole being spoiled thing, lol. "Mother is the name of god on the lips of a -" sort of thing. But really it is just a "feeling" an emotional color to -/most of our interactions. But not all of them. We tend to overlap a bit with other dynamics.
