feeling blue

Postby kyeongso » Tue Aug 10, 2010 1:16 am

feeling blue
a bit blue, and I don't know what to do. It's the kind of blue that a bunch of balloons won't fix.

I got a gift coupon for my birthday from my friends to join eharmony.

I did the tests. Answered a bunch of questions, and survey says:

"We are unable to find a match for you"

out of the millions of users in the USA, and the industrilized world (Western Europe and Japan) there is no one who shares my values, potentials, and education. No one. I don't know what to do.

That happens a lot.
eHarmony is BS. Even if you did get some matches, they start sending you more before your membership expires, just so you renew. You shouldn't expect anything when using those sites

I know, I know
It still doesn't change the fact that my ego continues to plummet, and I'm probably just over-reacting

Remember to go on dates with NO expectations.
You are doing it for fun- and you put forth all effort to just having fun. If things don't get serious with any person in particular, you will have collected maybe, a few new friends to do things with. That is golden. Relationships are hard to come by, so when they start to happen, don't rush things. Just be a good person

I have had my droughts too.
And a couple bad experiences using Match.com. These web sites are not cure alls for loneliness. They are a mirage in the desert of life

I've been there and know exactly where you
are. All I can say is, always be positive when you are around other people- don't let them know you are hurting. Hang in there

I am 45 too.
I met my gf while she was cutting my hair (what I have left of it). I never would have expected hooking up with my hair stylist
