When I was younger life seemed endless. Now I'm realizing that time is relentless. By this I mean, that now I'm realizing something my folks have told me recently..that as you approach the later years time seems to fly. I'm also realizing that even though I don't feel "old" (or as I'm told even "look" my age) I'm starting to notice some age related decline. Very subtle now, but I expect it to become more pronounced at some point. Now, at times, I have trouble remembering simple things. It's troubling. Also, I notice even though it feels irrational sometimes that I'm more irritable and get frustrated over things that used to not bother me as much. I'm trying to learn to laugh things off a bit more. I'm just wondering if this is all normal. I still "feel", but it's clear from some recent medical issues that I'm past the "halfway" point. Also, I'm hoping/trying to find some wisdom in older age some positive benefit, but often I just feel jealous about the things that younger people around me in their lifetimes that I won't. Also, I'm afraid that when I get "older" I won't be able to work/compete with younger people and so struggle financially. Also, I know that others are smarter/better than me but when I was I was smart I regret that I never had the to do more with that.
