However, there are some who would rather assume that stupid/unthinking people come on here just to belittle other people, than the wisdom in some necessarily harsh advice they don't want to hear. The point of an forum is that the denizens tend to be objective about your situation, more so than friends and family sometimes. But sometimes that comes at a price of not enabling or coddling. Regardless, it's free advice, worth every bit of what you pay for it. Sometimes a whole lot more, as of us can attest from experience.

okay I've never had this discussion with anyone so maybe someone here can tell me what's going on in the following scenario. I am straight, but seem to attract the attention of women ever so often. I can usually tell when a woman is checking me out but I can't always tell if she's or not ( you know how women are). I've had women check me out when I'm on dates with my guy or by myself. I am very attractive, very in shape and I guess still a bit of a tomboy, even in my late 30s. I suppose I'm not the run of the mill around town so I guess it makes people look twice. Though I don't usually take offense to being approached by women I recently had an experience that made me wonder if I should. I was approached in the middle of working out by an attractive the staredown she gave me was a little unnerving; the note she slipped me even more so. I've come to the conclusion that there must be something I'm giving off that leads women to believe that I'm open to them. Its not my intention to attract women I'm not interested in intimacy with another female. So I guess I'm trying to figure out what is it about another woman that signals to -/bisexual women "okay she's def fair game" Is it eye contact? the way she carries herself? or your gaydar goes off? whatever it is if someone could clue me in let me know so I can figure out what to turn off/shut down.

I must say that my life so far is one of guardedness, and misunderstanding -- punctuated by occasional epiphanies and discoveries of literature. Those around me, self-serving, apathetic, complacent, oused, and unaware of themselves -- like those in Tolstoy's "The Death of Ilyich" or those in Pushkin's "Queen of Spades" -- can be difficult to be around. I am tired of the perpetuation of the idea that a woman's worth in her beauty. (This is not to be taken that I dislike others for appreciating my appearance though. It is only when I perceive that the motivation in getting in my good graces, do I feel repelled.) I only hope that one day I'll find someone who is compatible and caring -- someone who, for instance, would rather talk about the works of Spenser, Orwell, Golding, or over going to malls--or someone who would find pleasure in writing meaningful blogposts and poetry. Someone who can tell me in their own words what the difference between sympathy and empathy is. Perhaps someone who is of introversion and solitude, and who understands the wonders of the creative process. As long as two people catalyze each other to the betterment of themselves, and don't magnify each other's flaws, it would seem possible that they can create a meaningful connection. But I must inform you: I am not a ; I'm just another leaf. Thank you for reading. P.S. I despise , I don't care for apathy, I'm too good for elitism, and I pity those who patronise. In your reply, please tell me who you personally know who you most admire and why.

I do like to be active and outgoing if I had someone to enjoy time with. I like to walk and take hikes. Yes, I like to watch sports; especially football. I enjoy going to hear music; generally I like most types of music. I also enjoy some dancing but I just really enjoy company and being a part of things. I hope to return back to school to continue my education and obtain another degree. Finally, I enjoy being a good friend to people, helping others and making them laugh.
